The HipSitFrom six months up to three years The HipSit and the LaidBack are the two most popular positions of Slingy. Typically, the HipSit is used from when your child has sufficient strength in its back at approximately six months and until your child does not want to sit in Slingy anymore at approximately two-three years of age. This position is used for the awake child who may need some closeness at home or is going on a trip. Your child may be positioned on your hip or in front of your body. This gives your child the opportunity to see what is going on. Pull Slingy over your left shoulder. Lift your child with both hands and place it high on your right shoulder. Be careful not to lift your child too high for it to hurt its head on something above you or behind you. Also do not drop your child down your back. With your left hand pull the padded support over your childs legs. Let your child glide down your body supported by your right hand until your child sits on its bottom in the padded support and against your hip. Pull the end until you both are comfortable. |
