We attach great importance to safety in the design of Slingy.
We have expended much energy on finding the very best quality of fabric and thread. The fabric has a very rare combination of strength and softness; the thread is equally strong. All seams are made with short stitches - under 3 mm. In certain places where experience has shown that Slingy is exposed to heavy wear and tear reinforced seams have been made.
Both fabric and thread live up to sharp demands concerning health and ecology.

The rings are designed specifically for Slingy. The design ensures that the fabric locks safely in use. The rings are tested with 50 kilos per ring in ultimate strength.

We know that Slingy is used to carry your most precious possession. Therefore, Slingy does not make any compromises.

You must always observe the following safety advice when using Slingy:
  • Only use Slingy when walking, standing or sitting - never run with your child in Slingy.
  • Pay attention to your child when you turn, open and walk through doors; walk close to walls; etc.
  • Always hold your child when bending over.
  • Never use Slingy for a very restless child.
  • Be extra careful when using Slingy for other children they might react differently than your own child.
  • Make sure that Slingy supports your childs body and your own shoulder and back. Small children always need full support for their back and neck.
  • Alternate between your shoulders when using Slingy.
  • Never use Slingy while biking, skiing or under other such forms of transport.
  • Never use Slingy as a replacement for the seatbelt in your car.
  • Never leave Slingy wet for too long - Slingy must be dried immediately after wash.
